Throughout the entire history of “Karen going to Sephora,” which is a long history, I’ve never gotten as excited about a Sephora Beauty Insider points exchange as I got for this Collectible Pin Set.
How cute is this!? It’s sooo cute, right? I had to (“had to,” air quotes) go to Sephora last week… Was it last week? Yeah, it was just before I got sick.
Anywho… I had to pick up another bottle of Kate Somerville Anti Bac Clearing Lotion because I was down to the last drop, and without it my face totally breaks out. So, I ran to Sephora, grabbed it, grabbed an $8 lipstick too (we’ll talk about that in a second), and when I was at the front counter, I saw this cute little set of four enamel pins.
When the sales associate asked me if I wanted to redeem any points, I didn’t use my standard answer, which is almost always “no” because I’m hardly ever really moved by any of the chintzy samples they give away for like 500 points, but I saw these pins and was like, “YES, GIRL. HOOK A CAT LADY UP.”
OK, there are four pins… There’s a peace sign with painted nails. That one’s very sassy.
There’s this unicorn, whom I’ve named “Treasure.”
This trio of cute little hearts…
And this cute eyeshadow palette with a brush and what looks like little whiskers (?) on the sides.
So adorable!
I haven’t decided where I’m going to put these yet. Perhaps a makeup bag or a jacket. I dunno. But, I love it! It’s 250 points, so if you’ve got points piling up… I’m just sayin’. It’s also online, too.
The little mini haul I did:
Anti Bac Clearing Lotion. Love it! I’ve talked about it at length so many times, but if you wanna ask me about it in the comments, I’m happy to get into detail. Essentially, it’s an acne treatment with benzoyl peroxide.
The lipstick I picked up is this one from a new Sephora Collection called #LipStories (gotta do the hashtag sign with your fingers when you say it out loud). It’s a massive line of lipsticks in really cute paper packaging, each with its own unique picture on the cap that evokes the color inside. There are three finishes — cream, metallic and matte.
I picked up a cream called Spring Break. It’s a deep rosy “my lips but better” pink, and I was drawn to it because of the beach scene on the cap… There’s a a teal blue ocean, people chillin’ on the beach, but I also like the color. 🙂 I haven’t had a chance to wear it yet, but I’ve been sick, and I haven’t been wearing lip products because what’s the point? I gotta blow my nose every two seconds (and that’s what I’m gonna do again when I get off this keyboard).
But as soon as I feel up to it, I’ll give this a proper road test and let you know. Oh, and the best thing about this line? — the lipsticks are only $8 each.
Now, when have you ever been able to roll up to Sephora and walk out with an $8 lipstick?
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
